Screen calibration

Despite the fact that screen calibration relates to end-users this topic might also be useful for developers.

Nowadays the majority of displays is LCD and the problem seems to be very slight. However, even LCD displays report slightly incorrect data about their resolution. Below are two photos, first is the image on not calibrated screen, second is on the same screen, but calibrated.
